Zhejiang University Clinches 5 National Science & Technology Awards

The 2014 National Science & Technology Awards were unveiled on January 9 in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Zhejiang University won 5 awards, including 1 second prize in natural sciences, 2 second prizes in technological inventions and 2 second prizes in scientific & technological progress.
 
Zhou Xueping, a professor of the College of Agriculture & Biotechnology, won the second prize in natural sciences for Research into Identification, Molecular Variation and Disease-inducing Mechanism of Geminiviruses; Wu Zhaohui, a professor of the College of Computer Science and Technology, and Chen Guobang, a professor of the Department of Energy Engineering, won the second prize in technological inventions for The Automobile Electronic Embedded Interface and Its Application and Key Technologies and Applications of Regenerative Refrigeration respectively; Yan Jianhua, a professor of the Department of Energy Engineering, and Chen Jianghua, a professor of the School of Medicine, won the second prize in scientific & technological progress for Integrated Technologies of Agitated Contact Thermal Drying of Sewage Sludge and Compound Circulating Fluidized Bed Clean Combustion and Key Technologies and Applications of Renal Replacement Therapy for End Stage Renal Disease respectively.
