On January 14, 2011, the State Science and Technology Awards Convention were held at the People’s Great Hall, Beijing. There are 10 projects from Zhejiang University won the second prizes. Among those, as the first accomplishing organization, Zhejiang University received one Technology Invention Award and four National Awards for Science and Technology Progress. The number of awards was placed in the second position among domestic universities. In addition, as a participant, Zhejiang University gained 1 Award for Natural Science and Technology, 1 Technology Invention Award, and 3 Science and Technology Progress Awards.
