From June 20 to 23, 2010 ASABE Annual International Meeting was held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Professor Ying Yibin, Professor Zhu Songming and Ph.D. candidate Shen Fei from the School of Biosystems Engineering and Food Science (SBEFS), Zhejiang University, attended the meeting. In Boyd-Scott Graduate Research Award, graduates from the School of Biosystems Engineering and Food Science made great achievements. In superior paper competition, a total of 6 graduates became winners, in which 3 were from SBEFS. In the oral paper presentation stage, 6 winners presented their research papers to the meeting and answered questions from the panel of judges. In the end, 2007 graduate Huang Haibo from SBEFS won the first prize, and Lin Tao the third prize of the master's research paper award. 2007 graduate Cen Haiyan became the third prize winner of the doctor's research paper award.
At the same time, Huang Haibo and Cen Haiyan won the first and second prize respectively in 2010 Graduate Student Paper Competition Award of Association of Overseas Chinese Agricultural, Biological, and Food Engineers.
