Today, the 1st Affiliated Hospital of College of Medicine, Zhejiang University signed an agreement on cooperation with the Medical School of University of Indonesia. Under the agreement, the 1st Affiliated Hospital of College of Medicine, Zhejiang University will soon assist University of Indonesia in establishing liver transplant center in Indonesia to provide high quality medical services to local patients.
This is China’s first export of liver transplantation technology; the liver transplant center in plan will also be the first liver transplant center in Indonesia. To promote their surgical level, 20 doctors and nurses of University of Indonesia came to the 1st Affiliated Hospital of College of Medicine for training. The director of 1st Affiliated Hospital Academician Zheng Shusen will head a delegation to Indonesia to help with the training of medical personnel and the construction of liver transplant center.
At present, the The Hepatopancreat Obliliary Surgery Center of the 1st Affiliated Hospital of College of Medicine, Zhejiang University is one of the biggest surgery centers in China.
