On the afternoon of June 21, heading a delegation of 14, Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Wong Kan Seng visited Zhejiang University with the intention to start dialogue on academic exchanges and cooperation between Zhejiang University and Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD).
President Yangwei briefed the guests on the history and characteristics of Zhejiang University and elaborated on the details cooperation between the two universities. Zhejiang University will take responsibility of curriculum design for some of the majors of Singapore University of Technology and Design. The two universities will cooperation in scientific research, teacher exchanges, joint degree programs and student exchange programs. SUTD, Zhejiang University and MIT will jointly hold inter-school design competitions in the future.
The delegation also visited the Exhibition of History of Zhejiang University and Exhibition of Science and Technology Achievements.
