How Cultural Values Impact on Mobile Commerce at Macro and Micro Levels: A Cross-Cultural Study

Abstract：
This talk mainly focuses on the theme of “cultural values’ impacts on mobile commerce across countries.” Specifically, it firstly identifies influence factors of cultural values that impact users’ behaviors in mobile commerce at macro and micro levels, respectivevly. Then, it constructs a theoretical two-level cultural value model based on extending the unified theory of acceptance and user of technology by integrating cultural values. An instrument was developed to quantitatively measure these factors at macro and micro levels by collecting data across countries. Partial Least Square procedures and the product-indicator approach were used to test this model based on 1680 samples collected from mobile commerce users in US and China. The findings show that culture values significantly impact mobile commerce decision processes at both macro and micro levels. Finally, theoretical, practical and managerial implications are also presented.
卫军教授, 美国西佛罗里达大学终身教授、浙江大学求是特聘教授。美国普度大学博士,乔治亚理工大学硕士和浙江大学管理硕士。卫军教授目前担任两个国际期刊主编，包括SSCI检索期刊International Journal of Mobile Communications主编。期刊拥有100多位分别来自全球26个国家的编委包括学术权威和著名学者。同时担任其它六家SSCI/SCI检索国际期刊的副主编或编委。曾担任美国西南决策科学协会主席。在国际上共发表学术论文180余篇，并在信息管理领域有重大影响的国际会议上3次获得最佳论文奖，并多次获得各类学术研究荣誉和奖励。还曾在美国博士伦公司和迈克尼通讯公司工作,具有多年的工业界管理工作经验。
